Ian J. Whitney
Ian J. Whitney is a Licensed Sales Associate in the State of Florida, and is a member of the Key West, Florida, and National Associations of Realtors.
As winner of both the 2004 and 2006 Community Achievement and Pride Awards (CAP) for the "Our Future" category, Ian was recognized for applying his energy and enthusiasm to projects and organizations devoted to improving the Key West community. Ian Whitney was recently re-elected to the Board of the Key West Business Guild, and is serving as chairman of the New Events Development Committee, He has organized and participated in numerous fundraisers and events in Key West. He is also the newest member of the board of the Key West Pops Orchestra.
A native of Northern Lower Michigan, Ian served as Regional Manager for a United States Senator, managing an office that covered twenty-eight counties. He was Regional Director for a successful congressional campaign, coordinating field operations for seven counties, and completed his internship in a congressional office. In 2000, he received his party's nomination for a seat in the Michigan House of Representatives. Ian is a graduate of Interlochen Arts Academy, where he majored in creative writing.
Like many people, Ian fell in love with Key West while visiting this island paradise for the first time. After returning four times, he decided to make the trip permanent. As a real estate professional, Ian takes great joy in assisting clients in finding their new residence or vacation home, and works closely with them to ensure that they have a smooth transaction.
